About Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth

In 2003, Dr. D. Y. Patil University was established as a "Deemed-to-be-University" under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. It began with one constituent unit, Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital, and Research Centre, Pune. Over the years, the university has grown significantly, adding multiple institutions under its umbrella. The Government of India, MHRD, on the advice of UGC, declared Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Pune, as a Deemed-to-be University on January 11, 2003.

Today, DY Patil Pune is recognized as a leading institution for higher education, offering a wide range of programs in medical, management, technology, and other disciplines.
